| Autographed photo of the great John Sullivan thanking Dan for Rock'n Roll records provided for his new TV programme 'Rock & Chips'. Nicholas Lyndhurst was brilliant as well as the other marvellous actors in 'Rock & Chips' The best time for music era so lets keep our fingers crossed there's a series to come. Well-done John !  Sullivan died aged 64 on 23 April 2011 in a private hospital in Surrey, after having viral pneumonia for six weeks. "The sudden death of John Sullivan has deprived the world of television comedy of its greatest exponent. John was a writer of immense talent and he leaves behind him an extraordinary body of work which has entertained tens of millions of viewers and will continue to do so for many decades to come. |
 Not the John L Sullivan the boxer with "The Hand That Shook The World" quote behind him but does describe John the man that did shake the world with the best comedy show ever 'Fools & Horses" & if given the chance to do a series of 'Rock & Chips' can achieve same status. John L Sullivan-would walk in any bar and say "I can lick any man in the World" as he thumped the bar. |

BBC LEICESTER 27/01/2010 Had a brilliant day at Radio Leicester--sitting in the open space with experts in Toys--Antiques--Clocks ----all to be valued---I had a great 2 hours seeing all the rare and not so rare records--talking to folks--getting the stories behind where they bought--where they got their Ev...erly Brothers/John Mayall/Peter green etc autographs---One collector had a really rare Japanese Queen single which was valued at well over £1000--and on my advice will get in touch with Bonhams or Christies to check the record out and to get it auctioned---another collector brought in 6 lps which were valued in region of nearly £1500----I saw a set of KID KORD 8" 78s with fantastic picture labels which I'd not seen before--loads of Marillion picture discs which were in excellent condition--and loads more--a most fantastic experience--I was assisted again by Beryl who did a great job in controlling the crowds and the fans-(ha ha)the 2 hours just flew by--in fact a most enjoyable day--Chris Baxter was host today --Standing for Tony (waddo) Wadsworth-and made me and Beryl very welcome--you may be able to use the Listen Again facility to hear interviews Look forward to the next meet, Thanks BBC Leicester |
